So At Last At Last....here we go

Hey guys,

Maid of Honor signing on and away away away we go.

I took on a venture about 4 months ago to plan the best bridal shower ever for my best friend who is soon to be given away, last name change, and forever her hand shall be his. With 3 months to go, I've been wrecking my brain night and day trying to come up with the swankiest(if that's even a word) most memorable bridal shower ever. I never knew there was sooo much to think about when planning a bridal shower, let alone, planning a wedding. I mean there's venues, caterers, decorations, games, favors(aka, party gifts), invites, themes, so much to do before that very day, well bridal shower day for that matter. So the first thing I set out to do was find some interesting showers that have been thrown before; you know, not the typical bridal shower, because hey, my bestie isn't going to be your typical bride. One of the great things about her not being your traditional bride wanting everything traditional, is the fact that it gives me, the creative Martha Stewart(sans the jail time) that I am, the perfect opportunity to throw her a unique shower just for her. Therefore, here are some of the swankiest(there's that word again, lol) showers that I've stolen some of my ideas from.

There's the shoe theme Bridal Shower: one of my faves

ooh...lunch in a shoebox, food looks yummy! how creative is that!

Then I ran across the lets dress the bride in toilet paper bridal shower, which yes...I think that's a great idea for a game.

this was too funny, is that supposed to be damask print?? hmm

And of course, everyone's favoirte Mardi Gras Theme shower...

So as you can see, a MOH had her work cut out for her when it came to picking themes. So what we decided to do was to throw "bride2bee" a fantabolous Fashion Themed Bridal Shower...b/c yes, my gal pal loves everything to do with Fashion & Make Up. That being said...I've come up with a few ideas to incorporate for that day...

I found these really great Purse gift bags at Ross & The Dollar Store(yes, balling on a budget) to incorporate someway into this great party...take a look!

I won't tell you what exactly I'm using these for, but just know..it shall be sheik! Also, wanted to incorporate the damask theme which the "bride2bee" has chosen for her wedding, so I ran across these cute photo boxes as well...

I think it would be really cool to have some disposable cameras on each table for people to take pics with and at the end of the party, drop them in the photo boxes and viola, memories have been created by each guest. Not so sure yet though, so don't hold me to that.

Venues:

Yes, there has been an endless battle to find the perfect venue that's cost affordable and will let us be able to decorate the way we want to and have our own food. It started off at a mere 7 places, but after 2 visits yesterday, the search was narrowed down to 2, but just got bumped back up today to 3 after I ran across one extra place.

Java Vino
They have a swanky little wine cellar that we can use for get this...only $25 dollars! Well, the first 2 hours that is, then every hour after that is an additional $25...so you know we won't be on CPT that day if we decide to roll with this...

Danneman's Atlanta: A little bit more on the expensive side, $75 per hour, but the space is to die for!!!

I know, not much scenically to look at...but we could do a lot with this space

And just added today, The Sundial
Which is a savy restaurant located on top of a hotel that rotates around in a circle. It may cause some of us to get vertigo, but hey...at least will be dizzy divas!

and yes, they do catering too, which is a plus, and we can do a $20 per person special...which includes for brunch...half a sandwhich/soup, choice of a side and a delicious desert! Not to mention, free frozen dacari's for everyone!

And of course the bar which includes the Steven Segal Look A like! LOL

We will be hitting you up MAN!

Well, that's it for now folks, I'll be updating now a lot more often...so be on the lookout and pay attention.

Until next time, MOH OUT!
